WHAT IS SOUL RETRIEVAL?

I was introduced to SOUL RETRIEVAL by my mentor and now colleague, Sandra Ingerman. She wrote and published a book while she was still at the Foundation of Shamanic Studies with Michael Harner titled: “Soul Retrieval: Mending the Fragmented Self”. That was out in 1991 and I started working with Sandra in 1992 after a traumatic car accident and while my Mother was aging ‘ungracefully’.

Well, the book has been republished and for a fabulous reason! SOUL RETRIEVAL work that I trained in REALLY helps people!

In the late 1970’s I ran a PSYCHIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM at the Free School in Boulder, CO. As a full-blown psychic due to a diving accident in 1972, I was able to see “holes in people’s AURAs”. When I met Sandra and started her GLOBAL SHAMANIC TEACHERS Program, I realized that these are the exact same holes I was seeing the energetic systems (human bodies) I was putting my hands on at work in my private practice in the early 1990’s. SPIRIT PIECES!

I was used to working with the CHAKRAS and the BODIES of the human systems in my clients and now I was learning to train others in how to do this!

To keep this simple, let me say that the way in which I work is similar to Native American ancient ways but with the icing on the cake! My Sprit Helper, Chenauknau, often times takes the pieces we or he has gathered to a Sacred Place and washes the pieces before giving them to me to blow back into the client.

So, after I tell my client the story of the SOUL RETRIEVAL JOURNEY I was on, I have them lay back down, with the holes filled with pieces and I balance and seal them back in their AURA with the help of my Psychic Surgeons.

The additional beauty of this compilation of my work, is that multiple pieces may be returned in one session. Now, this is going on the theory that we have 144 pieces to every MAJOR CHAKRA.

So, if you feel like “something is missing?”, please read this book by Sandra and call me for an appointment when you’d like to try this.

You will go home with a small Medicine Bag with sacred things in it to help you also.

Winter Solstice Time, December, 2016

Photo of Leylines around the PlanetAs the winter weather comes to Colorado and we are inside all day today with 2 degrees and 7 inches of fresh snow, I reflect how much of 2016 I was outdoors teaching and working on properties all over the state and out-of-state.  What a great year it has been!

I want to thank all of you who have helped to organize my workshops at your locations.  I am thrilled to say that even as one apprentice finishes my program more are coming to learn and work with me.  I expect more of the same in 2017 as I already am working on dates.

I know I will be back in Des Moines, IA to speak at COMMON THREADS about Earth Acupuncture and I will have a training there again as well.  The Iowa Acupuncture Clinic will host me again and there is good chance I will also be teaching my SPIRIT JOURNEY workshop one of the weekends, which is my beginning workshop in shamanic practice.

There is talk of woman who moved from Boulder area to Eugene, OR hosting me there at the new clinic where she practices acupuncture.  And I will probably stay in Portland again with my apprentice Len Lavoilette at the lovely co-housing community where he lives there.  And hopefully I’ll connect with Joanne Kraft from the area who is an old friend who introduced me to the Multi Pure Drinking Water Systems and the business.  I look forward to boating on the river there with her again.

So, wishing all of you a fabulous holiday season.  May your heart sing and your laughter fill your life.  As we look forward to another year ahead together!  I thank you so much for your support of me and my work and your helping me find new folks to work with!  Word of mouth and repeated successes enable this work to spread and for more and more folks to enjoy the benefits of living and working in Sacred healing space.  Karen

HEART OF YOUR GODDESS WORKSHOP

On 3/28/14 3:25 PM, Liz  wrote:

Hi Karen,

Thanks for suggesting the Goddess workshop in May. I do have a couple questions:

1. Are the accommodations single occupancy or shared rooms? In the lodge or cabins?

The price quoted is for a double queen room in the building or next door to the conference space we are using.  A single room is approximately $31 more per night.  I can not say until we book it where in buildings it will be, but it is not a cabin rate.  There are some little single cabins, but they will cost more of coarse.

2. What about those of us who are not actively ‘artists’? Are the creative pieces accessible to those with no practiced art skills or technique?

This workshop is designed particularly for folks who do not paint or draw regularly.  Teresa has been doing this work for over 25 years and I find her abilities to coach and nurture exceptional.  This is deep work expressed outwardly.  Yet, we are planning on having lots of fun with it!  Teresa can explain more if you’d like to contact her the info needed is on the workshop flier on my website.

3. Accessing my heart is exactly what I’m doing. It’s very new though so I’m not sure I am ‘ready’ to push it to see what’s there. Any thoughts?

This is exactly why I contacted you!  When ever is the “right time”?

4. How firm is the April 2 deadline for registration?

We have moved the workshop to June 12th, adding another day.   You will see the change on the EVENT mailing going out very soon.  I tested YES with my pendulum for you taking it.  The rest is in your hands!

Thanks for asking  about the house. The energy does feel good. I’m pretty sure it has been supportive to me during the last month or so of challenging personal growth. I also can say that I’ve been relying on the rings to cleanse my crystals daily. They seem to be powerful so the rings are working well for that purpose.

The Light Life Tools I carry in my practice are perfect for what you mention!  I am so glad you are so happy having taken my PENDULUM & EARTH ACUPUNCTURE TRAINING, and now gone home to ‘cure’ your home.  This is exactly my intention with the workshop and to save people A LOT of money.

TESTIMONIAL:The journeying session with Karen was one of the most powerful events in my life. She opened my mind to new strengths, visualizations, and mediations that have helped enhance my awareness. I have a wonderful life with family, friends and career, which is in Western medicine and biology, and I have helped discover some of the biochemical effects of light on healing. Karen is helping me explore deeper in this world, and I hope Karen and I can help each other discover new boundaries and merge together some of our knowledge and teachings. – Vivian K. Shamanic Teacher Karen Rice King and Wilderness Guide Lauren Bond Kovsky invite you to a special screening of:

“For the Next 7 Generations”

Tuesday, September 27, 2011
6:30 – 9:00 p.m. in Niwot
RSVP 303.665.0175
for the specific location
Suggested donation $10

First, we will view the documentary “For the Next 7 Generations,” in which 13 indigenous Grandmothers from around the world were brought together by one woman’s vision, the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Filmed on location in the Amazon, Mexico, and North America, it ends in India with a private meeting with the Dalai Lama. For more information and to see the trailer, please see the official website.

After viewing the film, Karen will guide us on a “journey” to our healing and sacred space in another dimension called the Middle World. Then, in a longer guided journey, you will have a chance to ask your Teacher or Helping Spirit to show you how the gathering of the 13 Grandmothers is significant for your personal life.

Karen Rice King has practiced shamanism since 1970. She did her Vision Quest with Sun Bear in Colorado in the late 1970’s.

Lauren Bond Kovsky
did her Vision Quest in 2001 as part of her M.A. studies in Environmental Leadership at Naropa University. She provides nature education and life coaching through wilderness expeditions for individuals and groups. For more information, see ThePathTransitions.com.

We would appreciate a donation of $10 per person, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. The donation covers the cost of the DVD and snacks, and allows us to continue offering these events. This is only the beginning of a partnership between Karen and Lauren. Thanks for your participation!
